Overview: 

To support the expansion of Container Terminal 3 and meet rising operational demands, a comprehensive upgrade and expansion of the terminal-wide Wi-Fi network was delivered. The objective was to ensure seamless wireless connectivity, enable real-time operational coordination, and build a resilient digital infrastructure capable of supporting future growth and innovation.

Scope of Work: 

Extended Wireless Coverage Across the Terminal

• New wireless units were deployed to eliminate dead zones and extend coverage across critical operational zones, including yard blocks, RTG paths, and gate areas.
•  Existing access points were tuned and upgraded to improve network responsiveness and stability.

Strengthened Network Control & Management

 A new wireless controller was integrated to enable centralized network management, seamless roaming, and efficient load balancing across devices and applications.

Power Redundancy for Continuous Operation

 • Outdoor UPS systems were installed at key locations to ensure uninterrupted service even during power fluctuations—essential for 24/7 terminal operations.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

 • Post-deployment optimization and live monitoring tools were introduced to maintain consistent performance and provide operational teams with real-time visibility into the network.

Onsite Infrastructure Upgrades

•   Outdoor equipment was mounted with durable, weather-resistant hardware to withstand harsh port conditions, and cabling was reorganized for easier maintenance and fault tracing.
