Overview
To ensure continuous wireless coverage and maintain the performance of critical network infrastructure, a structured Wi-Fi maintenance program was delivered for Lomé Container Terminal. The initiative focused on improving signal efficiency, reducing potential downtime, and extending the service life of hardware installed across the terminal.
This preventive approach helped reinforce the terminal’s digital backbone, ensuring smooth logistics operations and long-term network reliability.
Scope of Work
Site-by-Site Preventive Maintenance
- Maintenance conducted across 15 wireless sites covering key terminal zones
- Each site underwent pre-shutdown testing, full dismantling of Wi-Fi equipment, inspection, and reinstallation
- Damaged components such as screws, cable ties, and network cables were replaced as needed
Hardware Protection and Longevity
- Rust removal and anti-rust treatment applied to all mounting kits
- Structural hardware secured to maintain equipment durability in harsh outdoor environments
Signal Optimization and Network Upgrades
- Signal tuning and load balancing performed to improve performance
- Pre- and post-maintenance Wi-Fi heatmaps generated to validate coverage
- Firmware updates deployed across all Altai Wi-Fi devices for enhanced stability and security
