Project Description
A structured Wi-Fi maintenance initiative was undertaken for LCT to prevent network disruptions, improve signal efficiency, and ensure long-term hardware sustainability. This included thorough inspections, equipment replacements, rust protection, cable management, firmware upgrades, and signal tuning for enhanced performance.

Maintenance Scope
- Total Sites Maintained: 15
- Daily Target: 2 sites per day (adjusted based on team capability).
- Tasks Performed at Each Site:
- Pre-maintenance Testing: Site shutdown and signal validation before AP dismantling.
- Equipment Removal & Inspection:
- Dismantling all sectors and base stations (BS).
- Checking and replacing faulty screws and cable ties.
- Cable Replacement:
- Replacing any damaged cables connected to the APs in each sector.
- Rust Prevention & Structural Integrity:
- Removing rust from mounting kits.
- Applying anti-rust spray to extend hardware lifespan.
- Reinstallation & Signal Testing:
- Reinstalling all Wi-Fi equipment and performing final signal checks before moving to the next site.
Network Optimization & Testing
- Wi-Fi Signal Optimization:
- Signal retuning and load balancing for better coverage and performance.
- Heatmap Generation:
- Pre- and post-maintenance Wi-Fi heatmaps to analyze signal distribution.
- Firmware Upgrades:
- Updating Altai Wi-Fi devices to the latest firmware for enhanced performance and security.
