FTTW Network Deployment in Sudan
Project Overview:
E2E FZE partnered with Nile Technical Agencies & Sudani to launch the Fiber To The Wireless (FTTW) service, a fixed wireless broadband access solution aimed at delivering high-speed internet to residential and business customers in Sudan. The project leverages Sudani’s BTS towers and fiber backbone to ensure widespread connectivity.

Base Stations (BS):

• Total BS Deployed: 78 Base Stations deployed all over Sudan.
• Models: Astra Evolution E6-BSI, featuring:
  • Frequency range: 6 GHz.
  • Integrated dual-polarized antenna with 16 dBi gain and 90x8-degree coverage.
  • Throughput: Up to 800 Mbps/net.

Customer Premises Equipment (CPE):

• Total CPEs Installed: [1200].
• Models: Astra Evolution E6-ST18, offering:
  • Frequency range: 6 GHz.
  • Antenna gain: 18 dBi.
  • Beamwidth: 18°.

Network Infrastructure:

• Planning Tools:
  • InfiPlanner: For link budget estimation, performance prediction, and optimal placement of base stations and CPEs.
  • InfiMonitor: For network health monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Management Systems:
  • PRTG for comprehensive system monitoring.
  • 24Online for bandwidth control, user management, and billing.

Signal Quality:

• 2.4GHz Band: Adequate for residential and SME use, ensuring quality streaming and critical applications.
• 5GHz Band: High throughput with reduced interference.

Service Packages:

• Speeds: 6 Mbps, 10 Mbps, and 18 Mbps.
• Sharing Ratio: 1:4 for optimal performance.
