Overview: 

To strengthen the digital backbone of Faisal Islamic Bank and ensure the delivery of secure and uninterrupted financial services, a high-performance data center infrastructure was developed and deployed. This initiative focused on creating a reliable, secure, and scalable environment to support core banking operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and prepare for future growth.

The project included robust power and network systems, environmental monitoring, layered security, and knowledge transfer to the bank’s technical team, ensuring long-term operational sustainability.

Scope of Work: 

Data Center Infrastructure

• Deployment of 8 racks, including both server and network cabinets
• Rack layout designed for airflow efficiency, accessibility, and expansion

Remote Management 

• IP-based 32-port KVM switch with integrated monitor, keyboard, and trackball for seamless server management

Network and Power Infrastructure

• Structured UTP cabling for high-speed, secure data transfer
• Dedicated power cabling to ensure stable power distribution across all equipment

Security and Surveillance

• Real-time surveillance system for data center monitoring and incident prevention
• Multi-layer access control system to restrict unauthorized entry and enhance protection

Environmental Monitoring

• Monitoring system for real-time visibility of temperature, humidity, and power metrics
• Automated alerts to minimize risks and ensure uptime

Civil Work

• Structural upgrades including layout improvements and secure equipment mounting for optimized performance and safety

Training and Knowledge Transfer

• Onsite training sessions delivered to IT staff for effective data center operation, monitoring, and maintenance
